Claudio Hetz a master mind

He inspired me in many things about science, the way in which he dedicated in all related with investigation and science I loved it. I like science a lot, anatomy and investigation, so he is my role model, because he had traveled to many countries to learn and teaching. I would love to follow a way similar he has taken.

Last year I was studying nursing, because my dream at that time was to study medicine. It´s a long story very boring and sad, so not worth telling. All the important things happened in my second class of biology. That day I was very sleepy and I asked myself if studying nursing was worth the effort. So I wasn´t in my better mood, but Biology is my favorite subject and when I had to learn a topic about Apoptosis, I remembered the teacher spoke to us about Claudio Hetz, he taught a very important class because he was the best in that subject.

He was Chilean, tall and very thin. The thing that I was interested about him were the many post degrees he had. He had a lot of papers published and some post degrees he did in Harvard, so you can imagine the amazing teacher he was. The only bad thing was he was always busy, of course I understood that, because he was doing research at that moment, so, he explained class very fast and  I only had five classes with him in all the first semester.

He made me understand that only it´s necessary you have a lot attitude to overcome the challenges and achieve your own goals.

Venezuela´s Canarval

The best thing about the festivities were that I could have all my family with me, but the most special person was my brother because he has always been far away from me, so it was the best gift I could have. 

The Carnaval in Venezuela means everything, like in Brazil. The festivities are very eccentric and special because on that date there are vacations for five days. I know, it sounds amazing. In fact, it is or at least it was my best holiday ever when I was in Venezuela three years ago. The week before leaving Venezuela, it was carnaval, so, to my friends and I, it was very important that I enjoyed the festivities. I spent all the days with my family and friends. 

In carnaval you can do crazy things, in fact you can do whatever you want. I liked to spend all my time with my friends in a pool party, but in that holidays I did a lot of things, like partying, getting around the ‘Gran Sabana’, or meeting with my loved ones. 

Carnaval was five days before I had to leave my country to move to Chile, so it was my best festivities ever. In Venezuela everything is happiness. I´m sure if you traveled there during carnaval, you would have wonderful holidays. 

My festivities were a little bit crazy, because when I was 16 years old I didn´t have a lot responsibility, so my mom was worried about me all those holidays, but I can say that I had my best holidays in Venezuela even when I  had many problems in my life, all that experience was my escape.  

New zealand to world

Hello everybody, I´m here again to talk about all my dreams and experiences. I will write about the place I would like to visit. Since I was a teen, my Mon always told me a lot of things about life. One of things was accomplish your dreams, so I believe in it, I think you can do all goals you´ve. 

My dream is to travel to New Zealand. It´s welfare state. The reason why I would visit it is because I like its location and relationship with another country. New Zealand is one of the most coveted tourist places of the world. The market economy is so good and it ensures low unemployment index. 

There are a lot of things to learn about this country. When I was watching a series on Netflix, Outlander, I understood there are a lot of countries that I don´t know a lot about. So, in that moment, I was excited with idea of knowing all the world or travel at least to some country. New Zealand has a lot tourist places. Fiordland National Park is one of the most spectacular scenery in this country, and Bay of Islands, North Island is a place in were you can climb or take a cruise, because in this place there are a lot of Island with mountains very fascinating and delightful. 

I would like to visit all the tourist places and also I would like to do an English course in this country. But after that, when I had a dentistry degree, I would like to do my postdegree and if can be possible, to do my Doctorate too.  I´ll really like to live in New Zealand all my adulthood, but I don´t know what will become of me in the years. So I prefer don´t think a lot about my goals until it will comes true. 

So you don´t think a lot about your goals, just make it happen. 

Evaluation of My Blogging Experience

The blog in general in my opinion was a very interesting experience , at the beginning for me it was too difficult because I didn´t remember the subject. In the past I was in an English course and I graduated, but with time I forgot how to speak English with fluency.

English is very important for me because it is necessary for my life and work. With the University and all the subjects I considered that writing the blog needed a lot of time, but while I wrote the blog I understood that practicing writing is very important. The blog helped me practice my vocabulary and fluency in English. 

I think that my writing has progressed, now I can write with more fluency and the experience with the blog was very educational, and my vocabulary increased. In the future I would like to  continue practicing and with more frequency than what I wrote on the posts, because in my opinion the practice is everything. 

I would like to write about our experiences in life or in the university, but all I wrote on the blog I liked a lot, I liked all the topics that I had to write about in the semester.

I would like to say that the whole experience of writing on the blog helped me a lot despite the complications that caused me not having much time with the university.

The subject I Enjoy studying this semester

The subject I Enjoy studying this semester is Anatomy (The word anatomy derive of Greek), because it´s about the study of the structure and relationship between body parts and I love it because not only a scientific can study this subject, also can study all the students of health, anatomy implicate the structure and function of the human body, including tissues, organs and systems. 

 Anatomy is a subject that is organized topographically because all organs are studied in general, you must also study its structure and how the systems are related to the human body.  I think that the way to study anatomy can be focused on studying everything, but I think the first topic you must study is the nervous system.

The human body changes as it develops, the study of the development of the human body is called embryology and this study can be subdivided in 3 stages. 

When I was studying nursing I don´t like this branch because my teachers were very bad and they hadn´t pedagogy, so anatomy for me was a subject very difficult and complicate. This year when I started studying dentistry I promise myself that I will exempt of the final test.  So with the time, I was loving anatomy and in this moment that subject is my favorite between all the subjects I have. 

The anatomy is a branch very easy if you practice frequently, but the bad thing about anatomy is that you have to study a lot. Only you must have responsibility and determination to exempt this branch. 

An expert in your Field

The person who I admire is Leonardo Da vinci, who was he? He was an Italian Polymath of the Renaissance whose areas of interest included invention, drawing, painting, sculpting, architecture, science, music, mathematics, engineering, literature, anatomy, geology, astronomy, botany, writing, history, cartography and he was widely considered one of the greatest painters of all time. 

There are a lot of things that Leonardo  accomplished, for example he started his studies of the anatomy of the human body under the apprenticeship of Andrea Del Verrocchio, who demanded that his students develop a deep knowledge of the subject. As an artist, he quickly became master of topographic anatomy, drawing many studies of muscles, tendons and other visible anatomical features.

 

I like a lot of things of Leonardo, the most important work that I love and I think is related to dentistry are his anatomy drawings, because those rudimentary pictures are an example of the human body. Personally I love the anatomy and the pictures of body made by Leonardo. They seem wonderful. 

Leonardo´s work is evidence that it is not necessary to have many instruments to investigate, because technology although it has helped us to develop as a society I believe that we have regressed thanks to it.

My Favourite Place in Chile

One of the places that I love the most in Chile is a town called Ercilla, this is south of Chile, about 7-8 hours from Santiago and about 2 hours from Temuco.  This place I love because it does not have as much pollution as in Santiago, when I am there I feel free to be surrounded by so much nature, everything around me is just vegetation, flora and fauna.  In the countryside there are no buildings or much industrialization, everything is too rural.  

Normally when I go to that place, I am accompanied by my boyfriend with his parents because my boyfriend's whole family lives there, like his grandfather, grandmother, aunts and uncles.  In Ercilla you can do many fun things, like horseback riding, biking or simply taking some time to think and relax whether you are doing yoga or exercise.  I do not go very often to Ercilla because with the university I do not have much time to spare and my boyfriend does not have time either. 

When we both have time we usually travel on winter vacations or in the summer depending on whether my boyfriend's parents also want to travel with us.
